The 2023 edition of Il Lombardia is disputed this Saturday, October 7. As reported by the Il Lombardia organization, the test is going to begin at 10:20 a.m. in Comoand it will end, in Bergamo, between 4:39 p.m. and 5:25 p.m.. The ports that the layout presents are the following: Madonna del Ghisalloat kilometer 38.3, Roncolaat 100.9, Berbennoin 129, the Crocetta Passat 161.9, the Zambla Altawhich arrives at kilometer 174.7, and, finally, the Ganda Passwhose banner is located at kilometer 206.6, with 32 to go until the finish.
The Roncola stands out for its toughness, a 9.4 kilometer climb, with an average slope of 6.6%, the Berbenno, 6.8 kilometers at 4.6%, the Passo della Crocetta, which has 11 kilometers of ascent and an average of 6.2%, the Zambla Alta, almost in a row, with 9.5 kilometers at 3.5% average slope, and the Passo di Ganda, which, with 9.2 kilometers of ascent , presents an average of 7.3%.
As befits an event on the WorldTour calendar, several of the best cyclists in the world will be at the start line of the race. Among them, in addition to the aforementioned Pogacar, Roglic, Evenepoel and Landa, there are also runners such as Bob Jungels, Jai Hindley and Aleksandr Vlasov (BORA-Hansgrohe), Richard Carapaz and Ben Healy (EF Education-EasyPost), Michal Kwiatkowski (INEOS Grenadiers), Thibaut Pinot (Groupama-FDJ), Giulio Ciccone (Lildl-Trek), Marc Hirschi (UAE), Enric Mas (Movistar), Santiago Buitrago (Bahrain-Victorious) and Felix Gall (AG2R).
