Gymnast Torosyan said that at the age of 14 she had a stroke due to training

Gymnast Angelina Torosyan spoke about health problems that arose due to the trainer’s unprofessional methods. Her words are quoted by Sport24.

The athlete stated that at the age of 14 she had a stroke. “I just returned home after another difficult workout and passed out. Half an hour later I woke up and realized that I could not move or speak. This lasted about 40 minutes, then speech began to return,” she described what happened.

According to the gymnast, the coach was unable to determine the severity of the disease, so she was not given proper help and treatment. Torosyan noted that due to a stroke, which she learned about only at the age of 18, she has problems with speech.

In July, it became known that Olympic figure skating champion Anna Shcherbakova fell ill with mononucleosis. Due to illness, she was forced to suspend training at the preparatory training camp for Eteri Tutberidze’s team in Novogorsk, Moscow Region.
