Kuznetsov’s passes helped Washington defeat Boston in an NHL preseason game
The Washington Capitals defeated the Boston Bruins in overtime in a preseason game of the National Hockey League (NHL). This was reported by a Lenta.ru correspondent.
The meeting took place in Boston and ended with a score of 5:4 in favor of the guests. For Washington, Connor McMichael, Tom Wilson, Sonny Milano, John Carlson and Matthew Phillips scored goals. Russian striker Evgeny Kuznetsov also helped the team win – he had two assists.
In total, four Russians play for Washington. In addition to Kuznetsov, the capital’s team includes forwards Ivan Miroshnichenko and Alexander Ovechkin, who is the captain of the club, as well as defender Alexander Alekseev.
The new NHL season starts on the night of October 11. The current Stanley Cup champion is the Vegas Golden Knights.
