Villarejo suggests that Real Madrid tried to fix matches, and the club announces legal action against him

Former Commissioner of the National Police José Manuel Villarejo has hinted, this Tuesday, that Real Madrid, “in some way”, had already “tried the same thing” before FC Barcelonain relation to possible payment to obtain favorable arbitrations uncovered by the Negreira case. Legal actions by Real Madrid
In relation to this, Real Madrid announced, shortly after, that its president, Florentino Pérez will immediately take legal action against former commissioner Villarejo, due to false accusations about his possible involvement in match fixing before the Negreira case.
In a statement, the Madrid club has confirmed that its president “has ordered the immediate presentation of the corresponding judicial action against former commissioner Villarejo, for the false accusations made in RAC1.”
