Two-time Olympic champion accused of raping a teenager

In France, two-time Olympic swimming champion Yannick Agnel was accused of raping a minor, CNews reports.

The 29-year-old freestyle was taken to the Mulhouse police department. The man was taken into custody on behalf of a judge. He is suspected of raping a 15-year-old girl.

She said that the athlete attacked her when she was a teenager and trained with him from 2014 to 2016. Several active and retired swimmers have already been interrogated in the case.

The famous French swimmer has won two gold and one silver medals at the 2012 Olympics. In addition, he became world champion twice. Agniel retired in 2016.

Earlier, Australian cricketer Alex Hepburn was convicted of raping a sleeping woman. He wanted to win a sex competition hosted by his teammates.
