Philip Kovalchuk, the son of Olympic hockey champion Ilya Kovalchuk, was called up to the Russian youth football team. This was reported on the website of the Russian Football Union (RFU).

A team of athletes under 14 years old will hold a training camp in Moscow. After this, the team will perform at the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) development tournament, which will be held in Minsk from October 3 to 8.
