The Navarra Arena will be the stage where four pairs of pelotaris fight for the CaixaBank Masters this last weekend of September with the challenge of winning the title, or revalidating it, in the case of Joseba Ezkurdia and Jon Mariezkurrena, current champions.
On Friday, September 29, the two semifinals will be played. The first will be played at 9:15 p.m. and will face Ezkurdia-Mariezkurrena and Jaka-Martija. The first two have the advantage of playing at home, in addition to the good experience of the final won last year against Jokin Altuna and Ander Imaz.
Ezkurdia and Mariezkurrena, furthermore, have ended up as leaders after the dispute of the previous dayswith four victories in 5 days.
After this first match, the Navarra Arena, which will have a capacity of 2,000, will witness the Altuna III-Imaz against Peña II-Rezusta. From there will come the second finalist couple of this edition.
The four protagonists of this second semi-final managed to qualify for the play-offs. Ezkurdia and Mariezkurrena, for their part, got through after beating Larrazabal and Zabaleta on matchday 5 by a resounding 22-11.
The final, on Sunday
The final will be played on Sunday, October 1, also at the Navarra Arena, in a festival that will begin at 5:00 p.m. and that, like the two semifinal matches, will be offered live by ETB1 and eitb.eus.
