Fraser said balance exercises improve training efficiency
Fitness expert Ida Rolf and yoga instructor Ruthie Fraser explain the importance of balance in body structure for effective workouts. Their words are quoted by Shape magazine.
According to Rolf, to achieve high results, it is important to maintain a stable relationship between parts of the body – “structure”. She explained that a healthy person’s head, chest, pelvis and legs should be on the same line, which can be drawn through the ears, shoulders, hips and ankles.
Fraser added that thanks to balance exercises, you can not only increase the effectiveness of your workouts, but also relieve tension and pain in the body. To identify imbalances, she recommended examining how you distribute your weight when upright (on the outer or inner edges of your feet), and also examining the resting position of your pelvis and shoulder frame (whether it is shifted to the side).
On September 5, trainer Jenny Francis-Townson spoke about the side effects of squats when losing weight. The specialist noted that squats will not help achieve slender legs, since this exercise, on the contrary, is aimed at increasing muscle mass.
