Azerbaijani Rafael Fiziev lost to Pole Gamrot at the UFC tournament due to injury
Azerbaijani mixed style (MMA) fighter Rafael Fiziev was defeated in the main fight of the UFC Vegas 79 tournament. This was reported by a Lenta.ru correspondent.
Fiziev lost to Pole Mateusz Gamrot. The fight in the lightweight category lasted until the second round. It ended with a technical knockout when the Azerbaijani kicked the Pole and was injured, which his opponent took advantage of.
The 30-year-old Fiziev now has 12 wins and three losses. In 2023, the Azerbaijani did not win a single fight: in March, the fight against American Justin Gaethje ended in a unanimous decision against him.
