Olympic ice dancing champion Roman Kostomarov spoke on NTV about his life goals.

According to the athlete, he set himself the goal of adapting to a new life and “training as much as possible” in order to “feel comfortable with what I have.”

In addition, Kostomarov admitted that he set himself the goal of returning to the ice. “I hope that I will still be on the ice. How will it work out? I don’t know. But I know for sure that I will come out,” said the skater.

Earlier, Roman Kostomarov spoke about the onset of the disease. He stated that he fell ill after the New Year holidays, having become infected from his wife Oksana Domnina.

Roman Kostomarov was hospitalized on January 10 with pneumonia and influenza B. Due to prolonged connection to a blood oxygenation machine and a ventilator, his tissue began to die. Doctors amputated both feet of the skater, then the shins of both legs, the entire hand of his right hand and several fingers of his left.
