Russian figure skater Proskuryakova refused to perform under Rammstein
Russian figure skater Taisiya Proskuryakova spoke about performing under Rammstein. Her words are quoted by Match TV.
On September 23, the athlete performed at the I. Ya. Raber Memorial in Moscow. One of the fragments of the musical accompaniment of the short program she presented is the song Sonne. However, the skater later announced that the music would be changed in the future. “The decision of the coaching staff,” she explained.
Previously, another Russian figure skater, Pyotr Gumennik, was forced to refuse to use the Rammstein song in the musical accompaniment for the short program. The reason was a letter to the Russian Ministry of Sports and the Russian Figure Skating Federation.
After this, three-time Olympic champion Irina Rodnina advised Gumennik to be more careful in selecting music for his programs, and Honored Coach of the USSR Tatyana Tarasova called the person who wrote a complaint against the athlete an idiot.
