Sobyanin announced the completion of construction of the Tutberidze Figure Skating Center
Construction of the Eteri Tutberidze Figure Skating Center has been completed in Moscow. The mayor of the city, Sergei Sobyanin, announced this in his Telegram channel.
“We made a large number of halls: 10 choreographic halls, an acrobatic hall, two gyms and a training hall with an artificial ice surface. There is a rehabilitation block with a water treatment area,” Sobyanin said. He added that the sports palace has two ice arenas that can be transformed into hockey fields.
Tutberidze’s center is located in Yasenevo, in the southwest of Moscow. Previously, the coach’s group trained at the Khrustalny Ice Palace.
Tutberidze works in women’s and pairs skating. The coach trained several Olympic champions, and her students, starting from the 2015/2016 season, won all Russian championships among single skaters.
