UFC head White promised to hold a third fight between Valentina Shevchenko and Alexa Grasso
The head of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Dana White announced the third fight between the Kyrgyz female mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Valentina Shevchenko and Mexican Alexa Grasso. The words of the functionary are quoted by the MMA Fighting YouTube channel.
“We will have to have a rematch. We will do it – it will be right. This is a fight that has to happen, yes,” White promised at a press conference.
Shevchenko and Grasso met on the night of September 17 at UFC Fight Night 227 in Las Vegas. The fight lasted all five rounds and ended in a draw. They previously fought on March 5th. Then the Mexican won by choke in the fourth round and won the UFC belt for the first time in her career. Prior to this, Shevchenko defended the promotion champion title seven times.
In total, Shevchenko has 22 wins, 4 losses and 1 draw. Grasso has 16 wins, 3 losses and 1 draw.
