After Barcelona’s Argentine goalkeeper Javier Burrai received a letter of naturalization as an Ecuadorian, different criteria were given for him to be an option for the team coached by Spaniard Félix Sánchez Bas.
Jorge Pinos, goalkeeper of Mushuc Runa, was open in expressing his opinion that his Canarian counterpart could be in Tri.
“I have a chance to be there (in the national team). I see myself with a lot of space to be in the qualifying round and even play in it,” he said.
“As long as the coaching staff of Trio considers it, I am working on being there and I hope that I will be given the opportunity,” he added in a radio interview. KCHFM.

“All Ecuadorian goalkeepers will have the possibility to be there (in Tri), not only him, not because he is nationalized or because he is in Barcelona SC, it will be a priority for him to be in the national team,” he commented.
“All of us who are Ecuadorians have the same chance to be in the national team,” insisted goalkeeper Mushuc Runa. (D)
