Karpin said that Abaskal was misleading about Litvinov’s health
The head coach of the Russian national football team, Valery Karpin, responded to the claims of Spartak Moscow coach Guillermo Abascal. His words are quoted by Match TV.
Karpin said that Abascal is misleading about the health of red-and-white midfielder Ruslan Litvinov. The coach also emphasized that he and his assistant had no communication with Abascal either before or after the Russian national team training camp.
On September 16, Abaskal, in an interview with Match TV, said that Litvinov did not take part in the match of the eighth round of the Russian Premier League against Sochi due to an injury that he received before being called up to the national team and did not have time to heal. He expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that the athlete played the entire match for the national team.
In September 2023, the Russian national team held three international meetings. On September 12, the team drew 1:1 with Qatar. Litvinov spent 89 minutes on the field.
