Canadian hockey player Mirasti spoke about a fight at a wedding party in Russia
Former forward of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) club “Vityaz” John Mirasty spoke on the Spittin’ Chiclets podcast about how he took part in a mass brawl in Russia.
The athlete recalled how he and his teammates went to a nightclub in Magnitogorsk, where a wedding party was taking place. As a result of a quarrel between the hockey players and the guests of the evening, a fight broke out. According to him, the police who arrived at the scene demanded a bribe, after which Mirasty lost $400 or $500.
Mirasti played for Vityaz from 2011 to 2012. Then he played for the Kazakh Barys for a season, after which he returned to Canada.
The Spittin Chiclets podcast airs in the US. Its author, Ryan Whitney, and his guests often criticize Russians and life in the country. In particular, American hockey player Brian Berard recalled free drinking with girls in Russia, and Canadian player Brandon Sugden spoke about the alcoholism he developed due to living in Russia.
