Coach Daineko expressed a desire for Gumennik to skate to the Rammstein song
Coach Veronika Daineko appreciated the ban on Russian figure skater Pyotr Gumennik’s use of a Rammstein song. Her words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
The coach expressed a desire for the athlete to perform a program to this composition. “The decision must be fair, but who should decide it? It’s not clear what we are waiting for,” she said. Daineko added that the letter criticizing Rammstein came from a fan.
Earlier, Gumennik said that he was forced to refuse to use the Rammstein song in the musical accompaniment to the short program. The reason was a letter to the Russian Ministry of Sports and the Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKKR).
On April 20, Russian figure skater Pyotr Gumennik criticized education in a comprehensive school. The athlete said that he attended classes because there is no good training there, and he would only waste time.
21-year-old Gumennik won the silver medal at the Russian Championship last season. He also won the national Grand Prix final.
