The New Zealander Ryan Fox made the BMW PGA Championship his ownwhich was played at the Wentworth Club (Surrey, England), with 67 hits (-5) and a total of 270 (-18)with the Bizkaino Jon Rahm in fourth place.
Fox’s victory came with a birdie on the last hole, which broke the tie that the Englishman had reached Tyrrell Hattonwas unexpected at the beginning of a day marked by wind and a storm that forced a stoppage of play of an hour and a half.
Fox faced the last day three shots behind the then leader Ludvig Aberg recovered spectacularly and with 8 birdies took the tournament.
Rahm finished with -16 after a final 68 (-4), two strokes behind Fox and came on the last hole to kick for a eagle which would have also given him the tie in the head at that moment.
Rahm presented a fourth card with a eagle (12th hole), six birdies and four bogeys. It earned him fourth place, two strokes away.
