Rostov missed out on victory over Baltika Kaliningrad in the eighth round match of the Russian Premier League (RPL). This was reported by a Lenta.ru correspondent.
The meeting took place at the Kaliningrad stadium and ended with a score of 2:2 in favor of the guests. In the 16th minute, midfielder Daniil Utkin opened the scoring. In the 43rd minute, forward Egor Golenkov increased the team’s advantage. In the 86th minute, forward Angelo Henriques reduced the hosts’ gap. In the first minute added to the second half, Baltika midfielder Kristijan Bistrovich equalized the score.
After eight matches, Rostov is in 11th place in the RPL standings, with eight points. Baltika is an outsider in the RPL and is in 15th place with four points. Krasnodar is in the lead with 18 points.
In the next match, Spartak will host the capital’s CSKA on September 24. Baltika will host Akhmat Grozny the day before.
