Carlos Tenorio, the former striker of the Ecuadorian national football team, harshly criticized the winger Gonzalo Plata, who plays for Qatar’s Al-Sadd.
Plata left Real Valladolid in Spain, where he was constantly criticized for situations related to his discipline.
“I am clear with Gonzalo and we have no doubt that he has the talent that we would all like to be the reference of the national team, but that talent does not go with his discipline,” said El Demoledor.
“What he does is a matter of indiscipline or behavior, I don’t know who the people around him are, when he left Independiente del Valle he showed us that he is a figure,” added Tenorio in an interview with Federation of Posters.

The former striker indicated that footballers like Plata need to be “supervised” to learn to deal with “power”.
“I was in the home of the national team because I wanted to talk to the players and I see that everyone is arriving, and when you are in the national team you have to be the first to show,” he pointed out.
“Gonzalo is late and the way he talks to the guard, and I’m standing with Segundo Castillo and when someone arrives, it doesn’t matter, the first thing is to say: good night.” I never heard him say that to the guard. “Everyone says he’s a genius, but no one says he has discipline,” Tenorio concluded.
