Chalov and Zinkovsky were included in the list of candidates for the “Gentleman of the Year” award
The list of candidates for the 2023 “Gentleman of the Year” award in Russian football has been announced. This was reported by Komsomolskaya Pravda.
The rating included 16 football players from Russian Premier League (RPL) clubs. Among them are representatives of the Moscow “Spartak” Anton Zinkovsky and Alexander Selikhov, players of the St. Petersburg “Zenith” Mikhail Kerzhakov and Ivan Sergeev, football players of the capital CSKA Fedor Chalov and Konstantin Kuchaev. Also on the list are Anton Miranchuk from Lokomotiv and Konstantin Tyukavin from Dynamo.
Voting will take place in two stages. First, the top three will be determined by the fans, then the winner will be chosen by experts.
The “Gentleman of the Year” award has been awarded to football players playing in the Russian championship since 1994. The main criteria for determining the winner are the candidate’s position in the team, his attitude towards opponents and referees, as well as towards fans and journalists. The “Gentleman of the Year” is presented with a tuxedo and a friendly cartoon.
