This Thursday afternoon, in Guayaquil, Argentine goalkeeper Javier Burrai received a letter of naturalization as an Ecuadorian citizen.
In recent days, the leadership of the Canary Islands, headed by Carlos Alfaro Moreno, mentioned that everything is ready for implementation and that everything is in the hands of the Presidency of the Republic.
The goalkeeper arrived at the facilities of ECU 911 where he will receive a document that gives him citizenship, then Barcelona SC confirmed this fact on their account on the social network X.

Burrai will finish the season as a foreigner in the Pro League, and in the 2024 competition he will be able to be registered as a national footballer.
Naturalization also opens up the possibility that the goalkeeper will be invited to the national team at some point by the Spaniard Félix Sánchez Bas. (D)
