Coach Gevurkov advised doing bending with resistance for osteochondrosis
Trainer Konstantin Gevurkov recommended sets of exercises for osteochondrosis. His words are quoted by “Championship”.
For osteochondrosis in the cervical region, Gevurkov recommended tilting and turning the head to the side with resistance, as well as stretching the head. At the same time, he advised to exclude rotational movements of the neck.
For thoracic osteochondrosis, the trainer suggested abducting and spreading the shoulder blades and raising the arms from a sitting position; for lumbar osteochondrosis, lifting the legs from a position lying on the back, pulling the knees to the chest with spreading, and lifting the body from a position lying on the stomach.
“Exercises for osteochondrosis help reduce the load on the spinal column and strengthen the muscular corset, which supports the spine in the anatomically correct position,” said Gevurkov. He noted that with regular training, blood supply and nutrition of tissues are improved, and the removal of inflammatory process products and toxic substances from them is accelerated.
Earlier, Olympic champion in synchronized swimming Maria Shurochkina shared exercises to strengthen her back muscles. She advised me to swing my arms in different planes.
