Former Russian track and field athlete Elena Kulichenko, who changed her citizenship to Cypriot, shared her opinion about the stereotype about stupid Americans. Her words are quoted by Sport Express.
Kulichenko said that there are really a lot of stupid people in the USA who don’t know basic things. “Half of Americans think Europe is a country,” she added.
Earlier, Kulichenko spoke about freedom of speech in the United States. “If you start talking about LGBT people or speaking out on racial topics, that’s it. Will be canceled forever! – she noted.
Kulichenko, who competes in the high jump, changed her nationality in 2021, saying the decision brought her great benefit. She is the Russian vice-champion among juniors, as well as a prize-winner of the 2017 European Youth Festival.
