CSKA coach Fedorov said that all the club’s problems arise from psychology
CSKA Moscow head coach Sergei Fedorov explained the club’s fourth defeat at the start of the 2023/2024 season in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). The words of the specialist are quoted by Match TV.
Fedorov said that all the problems of the army team now arise due to psychology. “We have character, skill, but something is stopping us from winning, we are working on it. I would like to overcome everything in the near future,” the coach added.
On September 13, CSKA lost at home to Dynamo Moscow with a score of 1:4. Previously, the team also lost to Kunlun Red Star, Ak Bars and Metallurg. For the red-blues, this is the worst start to the regular season since the 2010/2011 season. In six matches, the club won two victories, beating Admiral and Neftekhimik.
CSKA is the current holder of the Gagarin Cup. In the 2022/2023 season, the team won the trophy for the third time. The capital club defeated Ak Bars in a series of up to four wins with a score of 4:3. Previously, the army team won the Russian Championship in the 2018/2019 and 2021/2022 seasons.
