The young motorcycle racer Xabi Zurutuza (Legazpi, 2006) will race from next season in the category Moto3 of the Motorcycle World Championshipand will do so in one of the category’s reference teams: the Red Bull KTM Garlica Finnish team led by Aki Garlic.

It will be a year in which I will have to evolve, adapt quickly and be as competitive as possible, but I am confident that this will be the case, since in 2024 I will continue riding a KTM, a motorcycle that I am already used to.“, points out the current Team MTA driver.

The 17-year-old driver from Legazpi will have the Andalusian as a teammate José Antonio Ruedawho will compete in his second season in the category.

Zurutuza will start the 2024 season in Valencia, at the Ricardo Tormo circuit, where the first pre-season tests will begin on Monday, November 28. According to the provisional calendar published by the organization, and after some preliminary tests, the competition will begin on the weekend of March 8 to 10 with the Qatar Grand Prix, at the Losail circuit.
