Lokomotiv midfielder Barinov said that Dzyuba had improved the atmosphere in the club
Lokomotiv footballer Dmitry Barinov spoke about the influence of forward Artem Dzyuba on the club. His words are reported by the Championship.
The midfielder shared that with his transfer to the team, Dzyuba, as a person with humor, greatly helped by improving the atmosphere in the locker room. “But he can push things very hard – especially for those who sometimes score on the game. If someone doesn’t make it, he can speak very harshly during the break. Sometimes during the game, but on the field I try to restrain him,” said Barinov.
On May 25, Lokomotiv announced the extension of the contract with Dzyuba. The new agreement with the 35-year-old forward is valid until the end of the 2023/2024 season with the possibility of extension for a year.
Dzyuba moved to Lokomotiv on February 8. This season he has played six matches in all competitions, scoring two goals and two assists.
