Baza: UFC fighter Askhabov was detained on suspicion of torturing and robbing an Italian
UFC fighter from Chechnya Khusein Askhabov and his twin brother were detained in Phuket on suspicion of kidnapping, torturing and robbing an Italian businessman. This was reported by Baza.
According to the police, the incident occurred on September 3. A group of intruders entered the villa, where they tortured its owner all night, including using an iron. After which they took cash, expensive watches and equipment, as well as the businessman’s passport from the house. The damage amounted to more than 300 thousand euros.
The Askhabov brothers were detained on suspicion of committing a crime; their accomplices, among whom were citizens of Kazakhstan, were able to escape, Thai investigators believe.
A Russian who had previously fled to Peru after the start of the SVO was detained for drug trafficking. In addition, he is charged with robbery, as well as organizing the “Russians from San Juan” gang, in which he was the only Russian.
