The couple spent a few minutes in quiet reflection, and when they left they spoke to the audience that waited for them until the end of the service, one of many marking the first anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s death and Charles III’s accession to the throne.

After the ceremony they gave inAt the reception to which various personalities were invited: athletes, officials and ordinary citizens, like Gareth Davies, a survivor of the Aberfan disaster, the 1966 colliery collapse in the Welsh community that left 144 dead.

“Today we remember the remarkable life and legacy of the late Queen, Her Majesty Elizabeth. We miss you. W and C”, wrote the spouses, better known to the English as William and Kate, on their social networks.

The princess talked to the people, and mentioned that all the citizens have wonderful memories of her. “We have to save them and appreciate them.”

To accompany their feelings, William and Kate chose a portrait of the Queen in a blue suit, another on the balcony with them and their children, George, Charlotte and Louis, and another of Elizabeth II surrounded by her grandchildren.

Inside the temple, in addition to flowers, the queen’s portrait was placed. The Princes of Wales, as well as William’s younger brother Prince Henry, did not attend the tribute paid by King Charles II and Camilla, an event attended by the queen’s great-nephews, Samuel and Arthur Chatto, sons of Lady Sarah and Daniel Chattoand staff at Balmoral, the Queen’s beloved Scottish home where she died.
