Coach Fedchenko: figure skater Gorbacheva’s departure from home was not related to sports
Coach Sofia Fedchenko spoke about the reasons for figure skater Alina Gorbacheva leaving home. Her words are reported by Match TV.
“This story was not related to figure skating, so this does not impose any problems on the preparation. Everything is in the past, we have forgotten and we are moving on,” said Fedchenko.
On the evening of August 28, Gorbacheva, the current champion of Russia in women’s singles skating among juniors, left the skating rink and did not return home. It was clarified that before this she had a quarrel with Fedchenko, with whom she had lived since she was nine years old. The athlete was found on the evening of August 29 in a cinema in one of the shopping centers in Moscow.
After this, Artem Borshchev, Gorbacheva’s uncle, said that the athlete had a conflict with her coach. “There was a quarrel, as I understand it, although it was not advertised, in the context of food. I gained 300 grams of weight – that’s it, you can’t jump,” he noted.
