Forward Alexander Kokorin said that he was not allowed to play at Fiorentina
Russian striker Alexander Kokorin spoke about the difficulties of playing in the Italian Fiorentina. His words are reported by the Championship.
The footballer said that he returned to the team from loan with a great desire to train and play. Kokorin noted that the club’s opinion about him had changed, and the “violets” rejected two transfer offers received for him. “They answered that “We need Kokorin.” At the same time, they didn’t let me play much. This situation is twofold,” he said.
Earlier, Italian journalist Massimo Franchi praised Kokorin’s performance for Fiorentina. He called the Russian forward a mistake player. “Fiorentina needed to get rid of him and they did it,” Franchi added.
Kokorin moved to Fiorentina in January 2021 from Spartak Moscow. The striker spent the previous season on loan at Cypriot Aris, becoming the winner of the national championship. On September 5, it became known that Aris again took Kokorin on an annual lease from the Italian club.
