Olympic champion Shurochkina suggested doing hand swings to strengthen back muscles
Olympic champion in synchronized swimming Maria Shurochkina in Telegram advised exercises to strengthen the muscles of the back.
The athlete recommended starting with swinging arms. Starting position – standing, the body is tilted forward at an angle of 30 degrees from the parallel with the floor, the back and arms are straight. Shurochkina noted that if you do the exercise on straight legs, this will help in stretching your knees, but if you feel discomfort, you can bend them a little.
The synchronized swimmer explained that in the first version of the exercise, you need to simultaneously take both hands behind your back and then bring them together in front of you, and suggested doing two sets of ten times. In the second variant, the arms must be alternately raised and lowered along the body. The athlete advised me to do two sets of 20 reps.
The next exercise is tilt. Shurochkina suggested performing them in this way: lean forward as much as possible, while maintaining a straight back, try to touch the floor with your hands, then, having risen, bring your pelvis forward without arching your lower back. Repeat the exercise 15 times.
Earlier, traumatologist-orthopedist Alexander Snetkov named ways to combat stoop. He advised to engage in general physical training, which will strengthen the muscles of the back, in particular, go to the pool.
