Manchester City will offer Haaland a new contract and raise his salary
Manchester City are set to offer Norwegian striker Erling Haaland a new contract. It is reported by The Mirror.
According to the publication, the club is ready to almost double the striker’s salary. He currently earns £375,000 (over $470,000) a week, and under the new deal will receive £600,000 (over $750,000) a week. The current contract of the 23-year-old Norwegian with the townspeople is calculated until 2027. If a new contract is signed, he will become the highest paid player on the team.
On August 31, Haaland was recognized as the Footballer of the Year by the Union of European Football Associations. Last season, together with the team, the footballer completed the treble, winning the English Premier League (EPL), the Champions League and the FA Cup.
Haaland has made four Premier League appearances this season, scoring six goals and providing one assist. In the previous season, the Norwegian became the top scorer of the tournament with 36 goals.
