The Russian national football team will play with the team of Qatar in a friendly match
The Russian national football team will play with the team of Qatar in a friendly match. About it reported on the page of the Qatar Football Association in the social network X (formerly Twitter).
Valery Karpin’s team will meet with a new opponent on September 12th. The international match will be held at the El Janub Stadium and will start at 18:15 Moscow time.
On September 1, it was reported that the Russians would play two friendly matches with the Egyptian Olympic team. The matches will take place in Suez on 7 and 11 September. “Due to the fact that many young footballers born in 2001-2002 have been called up to the Russian national team lately, this will be a good opportunity for them to get more playing practice at a high international level,” the Russian Football Union said.
The composition of the Russian national team for the September training camp, which included 49 players, was announced on August 30. The team will train in Novogorsk from 4 to 12 September.
The Russian national team has not played in international tournaments since February 2022 due to the sanctions of the International Football Federation and the Union of European Football Associations.
