With a Brazilian’s great goal, Cagliari and Torino tie for the Italian Championship

This Monday, Cagliari hosted Torino to close the 16th round of the Italian Championship. In an important clash for the home team in the fight against the relegation zone, the match ended in a 1-1 draw.

Torino took the lead. In the first half, Pobega took a risk from outside the area, Cragno defended and, in the remainder, Sanabria had a great chance and again stopped in Cragno. The ball, however, hit defender Carbonari, who made it against and opened the scoring.

In the second half, Cagliari drew with a Brazilian goal. Forward João Pedro took advantage of the leftovers inside the area and amended by bicycle, tying the score and guaranteeing a point for the team.

With the result, the home team is in 18th place, with 10 points. Torino, in turn, occupies the 13th place, with 19 points added.

Also in this round, Empoli beat Udinese by 3-1, with goals from Stojanovic, Bajrami and Pinamonti. Udinese declined with Deulofeu. The scoreboard leaves Empoli in 11th place, with 23 points, while Udine’s team occupies 14th place in the table, with 16 points earned.
