Ovechkin says he’d take part in a $5 million pop MMA fight
Russian striker of the National Hockey League (NHL) Washington Capitals club Alexander Ovechkin spoke about the possibility of taking part in a pop-MMA fight. His words are available on the Gazgolder YouTube channel.
“For five million dollars, I would go out right now,” Ovechkin called such a financial condition. He suggested that preparing for a potential fight would have been tough.
On June 25, 2022, Ovechkin made his debut for Dynamo football in a friendly match against Amkal (5: 0). He entered the field in the starting lineup with the captain’s armband and opened the scoring in the 11th minute of the game. After that, the pupil of the Moscow hockey “Dynamo” was replaced.
Ovechkin has been playing in the NHL since 2005. He spent all seasons in North America with Washington. Together with the club, the hockey player won the Stanley Cup in 2018. The Russian takes second place in the list of the best scorers in league history.
