Babikov is the 2017 world champion in the men’s relay race. He is also a four-time European champion and a multiple World Cup medalist.
Since 2019, the former Russian biathlete, world champion Anton Shipulin has been a State Duma deputy from the Sverdlovsk region. He represents the United Russia party and is deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Physical Culture and Sports.
