Ecuador vs. European teams: this is how it went at the FIFA World Cup

The Ecuadorian team measures the Netherlands this Friday, in the second day of group A of Qatar 2022.

La Tricolor won the host 2-0 on the first day, and now it will be the eighth time they have faced a European team.

On June 3, Ecuador made its absolute debut in an edition of the FIFA World Cup. The rival that “welcomed” the Tricolor was Italy, at that time a three-time world champion squad. The Azzurra won 2-0 with a brace from Christian Vieri (7 and 27 minutes) at the Sapporo Dome stadium, in Japan (within group G).
