Oleksandr Usyk says Dubois team uses dirty tactics to win
Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk has responded to accusations of unfair fighting by the team of Briton Daniel Dubois. His words are quoted by Boxing King Media.
“If the referee started counting after this blow, I would undoubtedly jump to my feet. I would be on my feet. It would be difficult for me to recover and return to normal, but there is no doubt that I would have risen, ”Usyk said. He also stated that Dubois was using dirty tactics to win.
Earlier, Dubois’ coach Don Charles urged Usyk to be honest. According to the expert, the rival of his ward was knocked out in the fifth round. “Usyk, stop cheating and be fair. If you are a religious person, as you claim, then you will not deceive,” Charles addressed the Ukrainian.
On the night of August 27, Usyk defeated Dubois. In the ninth round, the Ukrainian knocked down the opponent, after which he could not get up. The referee recorded Usyk’s victory by technical knockout.
