Iñigo Peña has hung the bronze medal in the final A of the mixed K2-500 meters together with Bárbara Pardoin the final played on the last day of the World Cups held in the German town of Duisburg.

In the qualifying round Iñigo and Bárbara marked the second best time of his series, 01:35.339being only surpassed by the German couple made up of Lena Roehlings and Jacob Schopf with a time of 01:33.502.

In the semifinal they were the best prevailing over the other six boats. They did a time of 01:35.781.

Today in the end They have been in a tough fight with the two favorite boats: the Australian boat of Alyssa Bull and Jackson Collins, and the German boat of Lena Roehlings and Jacob Schopf. All three have placed in medal positions and have endured the hard pace imposed from the beginning. Germany took the gold with a time of 01:33.033, Australia the silver with 01:33.179 and Peña y Pardo the bronze with a mark of 01:33.912.

Besides, Begoña Lazcano has finished in seventh position the final of the K2-500 meters with Laia Pelachs. They had to enter among the six best boats to obtain a ticket for the Paris 2024 Games and they have not succeeded.
