Mixed style fighter (MMA) Oleg Taktarov will fight with a Mexican fighter. This was announced to TASS by the promoter Vladimir Khryunov.
“We are currently negotiating this, including with lawyers,” Khryunov said. The name of the opponent is not specified. He added that the fight will be held according to the rules of MMA.
On September 18, Taktarov and MMA fighter Jeff Monson fought a boxing match. It lasted three rounds and ended in a draw. They later signed a contract for one more meeting.
55-year-old Taktarov is known for his performances in the early tournaments of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He became the winner of one of them, defeating Tank Abbott in the final of UFC 6: Clash of the Titans in 1995. In his professional career, he won 17 victories, suffered 5 defeats. Two more fights with his participation ended in a draw. The 52-year-old Monson has 60 wins, 26 losses, one draw. Another fight of the athlete was declared invalid.
