Canadian Roy said that legionnaires receive Russian passports for a career in the KHL
The Canadian defender of the Vityaz, playing in the Continental Hockey League (KHL), Jeremy Roy explained the desire of legionnaires to obtain Russian passports. His words are quoted by Match TV.
“I think some guys want to stay in this league and that’s one way to make sure that happens,” Roy said. He added that he himself had not yet thought about obtaining Russian citizenship.
