Miranchuk and Golovin joined the Russian national football team for the September training camp
The coaching staff of the Russian national team has named an extended squad for the September training camp. This was reported on the website of the Russian Football Union (RFU).
The list includes 36 players, including Monaco midfielder Alexander Golovin and Atalanta midfielder Alexei Miranchuk. Also, Krasnodar players Sergey Volkov, Alexander Chernikov and Nikita Krivtsov, as well as Ural Yekaterinburg players Andrey Egorychev and Alexander Yushin were invited for the first time.
In September, the Russian team is due to play a friendly match against Qatar. The meeting will take place in Doha on 12 September. Other opponents will be announced later.
The Russian national team has not played in international tournaments since February 2022 due to the sanctions of the International Football Federation and the Union of European Football Associations.
