Gotzon Martín will continue at Euskaltel-Euskadi in 2024
The Biscayan cyclist Gotzon Martin will be in its seventh season at the Euskaltel-Euskadi in 2024 and a decade in the Euskadi Foundation teams. Martín is one of the references of the orange team and a trusted man of the sports manager Jorge Azanza.
In 2023, in addition to winning the Mountain in the Tour of Andalusia, he has excelled in the French spring classics. His renewal is added to those of Mikel Bizkarra and Mikel Iturriathree of the team’s strongholds.
“I am happy to continue one more season. I have taken steps year after year and I consider that I am consolidated in the category. I want to contribute everything I can to the team and teach the youngsters who come. I entered as a youngster and they taught me and now I am the one who is having more experience. I am looking forward to this year and next, and hopefully we can be back in the Vuelta and have a level calendar to continue growing”, the cyclist stated.

From 2015 to 2017 he was an amateur at the Euskadi-EDP Foundation before making the leap to the elite when he returned to professionals in the structure in 2018.
Jorge Azanzasports manager of Euskaltel-Euskadihas ensured that “Gotzon is the banner of what the Foundation is: he has been in the structure for many years, he has taken steps and now he is at an important level. It should be noted that he wants to continue with us, that the runners who take steps with we bet on continuing and want to continue training here”.
