UEFA said that the responsibility for not issuing a visa to Ozdoev lies with the club
The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) reacted to the refusal of the British to issue a visa to the football player of the Russian national team and Greek PAOK Magomed Ozdoev. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
UEFA said that the responsibility for issuing visas to enter other countries lies with the clubs participating in European competitions. They emphasized that club managements are the sole decision makers in this regard.
On August 23, the Ozdoevs became aware of the difficulties in obtaining a British visa. Later, on August 24, the Greeks will play in Edingburgh the first match of the playoffs of the Conference League qualification against the Scottish “Hearts”. All players, except for Ozdoev, received visas without any problems.
Ozdoev joined PAOK on 7 August. This season, the Russian participated in three matches and did not score with effective actions. Prior to that, he defended the colors of the Turkish Fatih Karagumruk.
