The Times: Kylian Mbappe close to PSG contract extension
Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi and striker Kylian Mbappe have reached a settlement over a contract extension. It is reported by The Times.
According to the publication, the striker and his representatives have been negotiating with the team for a long time and are now close to a compromise. It is noted that the player is close to extending the contract with PSG. If he leaves the club, the Parisians will receive compensation of around 150 million pounds (190.5 million dollars – approx. “Tapes.ru”).
On August 19, Onze Mondial, citing L’Équipe, stated that Mbappe had a conflict with PSG president Al-Khelaifi. During the negotiations, the functionary said that the player would no longer play for the team. To this, Mbappe replied: “You will be the only president under whom I do not play.”
Mbappe has defended the colors of PSG since 2018. His current contract with the team runs until 2024 with the option of a one-season extension.
