Last Saturday, August 5, after a 2-2 draw between Inter Porto Alegre and Corinthians for the Brasileirao tournament, Enner Valencia stormed off the field.
The Ecuadorian met with Luiz Adriano, but also with Magra, the club’s sports manager, whom he even pushed.
Pictures of those fights went around the world, and then the professional staff and the protagonists came forward to explain the case.
Valencia explained what happened and believes that the facts happened because of language problems, but for him it was forgotten.
“There are moments when he gets a little lost and has no control. Yes, it was with one of my crew. Small discussion. Maybe the language, I told him not to hold me, that I wanted to leave, and he didn’t understand me. There was a crossing of words… That happened,” he said.
“What I tell everyone who asks me what happened, I tell them that this kind of thing happens 10,000 times after the game in the locker room. This time he went in front of the camera and won boom. The next day we talked and everything was calm and resolved,” Valencia concluded in a conversation with a journalist Martin Lieberman. (D)
