Fedor Smolov said that he has no chance to play for a club from Saudi Arabia
Dynamo Moscow football player Fedor Smolov spoke about the possibility of moving to a Middle Eastern club. His words are quoted by Sport24.
The striker noted that it all depends on the incoming offers, adding that he has no chance to play for a club from Saudi Arabia. “In Saudi Arabia, I think it’s impossible. They sign such star players. Plus quotas for legionnaires. It’s a very closed market there,” he explained.
Earlier, Smolov assessed the likelihood of the Russians returning to European competition. “I don’t believe I’ll live to see this. I don’t see in the near future what can happen for us to be returned to European competitions. If I suffer until the age of 40, then it is possible, ”he said.
Smolov moved to Dynamo in 2022. The forward has already played for the club from 2006 to 2015, going on loan several times during this time – to Feyenoord, Ural and Anji. Smolov is also known for his performances for Lokomotiv, Krasnodar and the Russian national team.
