O Real Madrid officially presented this Tuesday (15) the goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, hired on a season loan from the Chelsea to replace the injured Thibaut Courtois.
“It is one of the most important and special days of my career and of my life. I am very happy and proud to be part of Real Madrid,” said the goalkeeper at a press conference.
“I hope it’s a great stage and that we can win many titles and make Real Madrid’s history even greater,” added Kepa, who recalled injuries to Courtois, Brazilian defender Éder Militão and Turkish midfielder Arda Güler.
“They are living the most complicated moment in football, which are the injuries. I wish them a speedy recovery and send them a big hug”, said the Spanish goalkeeper.

Kepa replaces Courtois, who last week suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee in training and will have to undergo surgery, which will sideline him for most of the season.
“We are very sad for what our goalkeeper Courtois and our defender Militão are going through,” said Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez during Kepa’s presentation.
“But we are also convinced that they will once again be pillars of this team”, added Pérez, before sending a message to Courtois, Militão (who also tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee) and Güler, who underwent surgery on Monday- fair due to a meniscus injury in his right knee.
