Ex-Palmeiras, Scarpa is out of Nottingham Forest’s plans for the season

Even though he has been at Nottingham Forest for less than a year, midfielder Gustavo Scarpa may be leaving the English team. According to The Athleticthe 29-year-old is out of coach Steve Cooper’s plans for this season.

With just 181 minutes on the field in English Championship, the club would be willing to facilitate the departure of the athlete, who was unable to establish himself in the team. In all, Scarpa played 10 games for Forest, failing to score goals or provide assists.

One possibility that arises for the Brazilian is a transfer to Olympiacos. That’s because the Nottingham team and the Greeks have the same owners, which would facilitate negotiation and bureaucratic procedures.

Recently, Scarpa used social networks to reject a possible return to Brazilian football: “Scarpinha is very happy here in England. May this season be much better than the last”, said the player during the pre-season for the English.

As palm trees, Scarpa accumulated 233 appearances, in addition to 44 goals and 56 assists. He left Verdão at the end of 2022, with two Libertadores (2020 and 2021), two Brasileiros (2018 and 2022), two Paulistas (2020 and 2022), a Copa do Brasil (2020) and a Recopa (2022) on his resume.
